A Welcome Note from Keri

owner /maker / designer at Sheloah & Co.

I live a quiet, home-centered life, where heritage and simplicity are at the heart of nearly everything I do. My days are filled with handmade projects, homegrown plants, and the kind of old-fashioned rhythms that bring peace to both - hearth & home. I find beauty in the worn, the storied, and the slightly imperfect—linen with a softened edge, quilts folded from generations past, pottery found and used again. To me, these things are not just objects; they are small keepers of memory, and they make a home feel alive.

At Shiloh House, with Sheloah Mercantile, I’ve found a place to gather and share those passions. Crochet bonnets and bows, quilts and dishcloths, paper goods and mercantile staples—all carry the same intention: to offer something simple, useful, and lasting. I believe home becomes most beautiful not through perfection, but through the layers of story we add to it: a well-loved chair, a candle lit at dusk, a dish towel hung by the sink after supper.

This site is my way of opening the door. It’s a place to share goods for the home and heart, stories of heritage, and reflections on the kind of life that lingers. My hope is that Sheloah Mercantile feels less like a shop and more like a storehouse—a collection of goods and ideas that invite you to slow down, to savor, and to remember the beauty of living simply and with meaning.

I’m so thankful you’re here, and I hope what you find in this space becomes part of your own story of home.
